  •   I rented a carbon Scott Addict from Polka Dot Cycling for one day of road cycling. They allowed me to pick it up the day prior so I'd have a... read more full day's use - included a lock and helmet at no extra charge. Nice bike! The shop was conveniently located next to the ice hockey rink at the castle end of the lake (about 1 block form our hotel, Park Hotel).

    I did a 36 mile loop I found on Ride with GPS up to Mojstrana (BEAUTIFUL!) then extended up to Kranjska Gora, did and out and back up the Vršič Pass (amazing with 24 cobblestoned switchbacks), then, because I was so close to both, did an out and back to both the Austrian border and then to the Italian border, back to Mojstrana and then completed the original loop back to Bled. 77 miles total with over 6,000 feet of climbing. A lot of this is on a paved "rails-to-trails" path.
